A rare Romanian warbird departs the Pacific Coast Dream Machines Show. The IAR-823 is a civil and military trainer aircraft built in Romania from 1974-198. Of the 80 produced, 35 are registered in the U.S., like this example flown by airshow announcer/performer Steve Stavrakakis. At the time, Steve’s IAR was still wearing the original Romanian Air Force color scheme. Nikon D300 w/300mm.
