It’s almost time to sit with family and friends and enjoy yummy food. I love Thanksgiving. I love sitting around the table watching everyone eat, talk and be grateful. Thanksgiving takes me weeks to plan every year. Most people don’t understand this because I make the same menu over and over but I always include a little twist. There are some foods that are enjoyed more than others. I make enough turkey for 20+ people but since I make so many side dishes, there really isn’t a need to make crazy amounts of one side dish. My vegetables are definitely the side dishes that I make in less quantity but they are still gobbled up and I rarely have left overs. This year I have decided to serve my veggie sides in a dish between two people so everyone can enjoy some!Remember a couple days ago when I shared my recipe for Cheesy Green Bean Casserole?Well I’ve decided that that is definitely going to be my green bean casserole this year. The cheese made it even more amazing. I’m also going to serve one serving in a ramekin for two people to share at the table. I think this is a great idea to get more dishes on the table (it’s already so jam-packed by the big serving dishes) and get people talking!
Maybe I will serve all my food like this. I’m also thinking of carving my turkey before setting it out on the table. I might know how to cook a full Thanksgiving meal but I definitely don’t know how to carve a turkey! That’s what my momma is for!
Next time you’re in Walmart, go look at the screens by the green bean casserole display at the end of the aisle. Walmart is picking the best of the ideas given people like you and me to show right there in the store! If you see mine, let me know with a post or a tweet!
