According to Lt Steve Cox with the Muncie Police Department, on Thursday night, officers were called to IU Ball Memorial Hospital on the by Freeven pro"> by Freeven pro"> by Freeven pro">report
that a 6-year-old boy was shot.
The boy’s parents, Lamotta Roundtree, 34, and Elisha Wolfe, 35, told officers that their 15-year-old niece, who was babysitting their son, found a gun in the alley behind their house. They said the girl picked up the gun and it went off, shooting the boy in the groin.

. Roundtree is a convicted felon who couldn’t have a gun in his home, according to Cox.
Police arrested Roundtree and Wolfe on Thursday night on the following charges:
- Aiding or inducing criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon
- Child neglect
- Obstruction of justice
