By Hetal Shah @myfashionvilla

Hello FashioNate people! The Wedding season is about to begin and I know some of you are getting married this season and you have so many things to manage like your Wedding Trousseau Shopping, functions, guest list, food menu, wedding invitations, return gifts and what not!! So much of it! Thus, I have a special post for all brides to be here. Read about 6 must haves for a bride to be and an Indian Wedding Trousseau Shopping Guide.

Casual and light Indian clothing

While packing clothes we should always make sure that we don’t miss out casual wear pairs! For a perfect casual (Indian) look you can pick some cotton, georgette and chiffon sarees. Don’t pick net sarees for casual wear because it would be not comfy plus it’s tough to handle them! Pick the “just right print” which is neither too vibrant nor too simple. For suits, you can grab the cotton Patiala or regular Punjabi suits. You can go with some natural or artistic prints. While choosing the long kurti you should take care of the color combinations and prints. Simply, while choosing casual dresses give stress on material and style.

Swimwear

Swimwear is an attractive piece of clothing. While chilling with your hubby on a beach you must dress up in an attractive yet comfortable swimwear. For those who are a little bit conservative can go for a Kimy (it is a one piece swimwear that covers your back and belly region). It is available in many colors and prints (floral is really pretty). You can also try some studded or cut out patterns. In swimwear there are no rules or restrictions for colors (Thank God :P). And for the ones who are comfortable with bikinis can go with cut out one piece and halter neck bikinis, strapless ruffled top and high waist bikinis are in trend these days. There are endless varieties in the swimwear section; still you can choose your favorite one easily according to your body type and budget.

Essential Denim Pants

A pair of blue/black jeans should never be missing in the wardrobe! While working and travelling many ladies aren’t able to manage in sarees or heavy suits. So, the best option is to have a few pairs of denim pants (some simple and some fancy) and tees. You can wear simple washed high waist jeans, cloud wash, bow-cut, ankle-length jeans. The best part of having few basic style jeans is-you can team it up with any top as well as short kurti!

Casual Tops and Tees

For casual wear, you can go for some cotton or hosiery material tops. Don’t choose synthetic material. You can try many variations in color, patterns and prints here. Printed round neck tee, plain sleeveless tee, balloon sleeve tops, boat neck tops, Peplum tops, oversized tees, crop tops, spaghetti tops, laced tops. Moreover, you can also wear jackets and blazer for a defined look.

Traditional Earrings and Statement Rings

Jewelry is most important part of a lady’s look. While selecting earrings you should make sure that they aren’t very heavy in weight. In earrings you can select the pieces as per the categories like Stone, Pearl, Dangles, Jhumkas, Diamond studded, colorful artistic gemstone and drop earrings. Do not forget to get some statement oversized earrings in your Wedding Trousseau. Similarly, in rings you can go for diamond studded, gemstone, platinum studded with diamond and gold rings. Moreover, for accessories you can add some shimmering bracelets and anklets too. You will not disappoint if you will invest in some Cocktail Rings.

Footwear: Heels and Traditional sandals

Here, keep the selection of footwear as per the clothes. If you are wearing a saree, then go for a pair of traditional studded sandal or shiny ballerinas. If you are wearing jeans and top, then pick up a stylish pair of heels. For casual wear, you can team up simple ballerinas with traditional clothes and heels or sandals while wearing western clothes. For occasional look you should go for some velvet touch heels or diamond studded heels.
I hope this post helps you to pack your wedding trousseau bag. Please do share your views and experiences related to this topic in the comment section below.
