Indian Raj Subramaniam for FedEx Head as Founder-CEOs Down

New York: India American Raj Subramaniam will be the new FedEx Chief Executive, according to the announcement made Monday by the giant US multinational courier delivery.
Raj Subramanian will replace Frederick W Smith, Chair and CEO, who will resign from this position on June 1. He will now be the chairman of his executive.

“When we look at what next direction, I have a great sense of satisfaction that a Kaliber leader Raj Subramaniam will bring Fedex to a very successful future,” Smith said in a statement.

In his new role, Smith said he hoped to focus on board governance and important global problems, including sustainability, innovation, and public policy. Smith has established Fedex in 1971.

“Fred is a visionary leader and legend of the business world. He founded one of the largest and most admired companies in the world, and it was my honor and privileges to step into this role and build what he had made,” Subramaniam said. In a statement issued by Fedex.

Headquartered from Tennessee, Fedex has 600,000 employees globally.

Mr Subramaniam was elected to the Board of Directors Fedex in 2020 and will defend his chair on the board, the company said.

Before his role as President and Chief Operating Officer FedEx Corp, Mr. Subramaniam was President and CEO of FedEx Express, the largest express transportation company in the world. He also served as executive vice president and head of Marketing and Communication officers Fedex Corp, where he was responsible for developing the company’s strategy.

In addition, he served as President of Fedex Express in Canada and in several other management and marketing roles throughout Asia and the US since he joined Fedex in 1991.

He has more than 30 years of cross-strategy and operating global experience and has led the company through an extraordinary period of growth. I am sure Raj will do it in this foundation and Take the company for a bigger altitude, “said David Steiner, Chair of the Board of Council, Security, and Public Policy Committee.
