Indian Navy Sailor Recruitment 2022

Discipline wise vacancy:
  • Artificer Apprentice (AA): 500
  • Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR): 2000

Batch Name: August 2022 Batch.

Salary and Allowances: During initial training, a stipend of ₹14,600/- per month will be accepted. If the initial training is completed successfully, they will be placed at level 3 of the Defence Pay Matrix (₹21,700- ₹69,100). In addition, they will be paid MSP @₹5200/- per month and DA (as applicable) and 'X' group pay {only for artificer apprentices (AA)} @ ₹3600/- per month and DA (as applicable) under the trainee and ₹ 6200/- per month for successful completion of AICTE accredited diploma course.

Indian Navy SSR AA Qualification Criteria

1.(AA) Eligible for 10 + 2 exams including Mathematics and Physics and at least one of these subjects: Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science from Ministry of Education, School Board recognized by the Government. Of India.

2.(SSR) 10 + 2 exams and 60% marks in Mathematics and Physics and at least one of these subjects: Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science from the Ministry of Education, Government recognized School Board of Education. Of India.

Age Limit: Candidates must be born between 01 August 2002 to 31 July 2005 (Both dates inclusive ).

Martial Status: Only male unmarried candidates are eligible for the Indian Navy Sailor Vacancy.

How to apply for Indian Navy Sailor Recruitment?

Applications only need to be filled online at the website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in and scan all the original required documents and upload. Candidates can submit their online application starting by following the steps mentioned below.

  1. Visit the Indian Navy official website - www.joinindiannavy.gov.in and if not register then register yourself with your e-mail id
  2. Now, 'Log in' with the registered e-mail ID and click on "Current Opportunities".
  3. Fill out the complete form . Before clicking the 'Submit' button, make sure that all the details are correct, all the required documents have been scanned and uploaded.
  4. Click the 'Submit' button and get a printout of the application form.

Recruitment of Indian Navy Sailor Selection Process

Candidates will be shortlisted based on the total percentage obtained in Physics, Mathematics and at least one of these subjects - Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science (10 + 2) in the aptitude test. Vacancies will be selected by state in proportion to four times the number.

The cut-off mark may vary from state to state as the vacancies are allocated by state. Shortlisted candidates will be given written test and call-up letter for PFT.

The details of the written examination to be conducted to select the eligible candidates for this recruitment are given below.

Medium of Examination: The question paper will be bilingual - Hindi and English.

Question Type: The questions will be of objective type.

Syllabus: The question paper consists of four sections i.e. English, Science and Mathematics and General Knowledge. All questions will be 12th level questions.

Duration of Exam: The duration of AA & SSR exam will be of one hour.

Maximum Marks: The maximum marks of the said exam will be 100 marks.

Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test is mandatory for selection. The details of PFT are given below.

Running: Candidates will have to run 1.6 km in 7 minutes.

Squats and Push-ups: Candidates are required to complete 20 squats (stand up sitting) and 10 push-ups.
