It featured a 5 speed gearbox, stereo system, dual airbags and steering mounted audio controls. The car crossed the 10 lakh production mark in April 2015. It takes about 4 years to reach 20 lakhs. And it takes more than 5 years to cross 30 lakhs.

Several features have changed in this car over time. The variant currently on sale is powered by a 1.2 liter Z series petrol engine. The car recently achieved a 5-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test. Dzire is the first car from Maruti to achieve this feat. Currently priced at Rs 6.79 lakh to Rs 8.74 lakh (ex-showroom). The mileage of the car is 24.79 km per liter to 25.71 km per liter.
