Indian Air Force AFCAT Recruitment Details

  1. Name of Post: AFCAT Entry
    Branch wise Post:
    • Flying Branch: 77 posts
    • Ground Duty (Technical) Branch: 129 posts
    • Ground Duty (Non- Technical): 111 posts

  2. Name of Post: NCC Special Entry
    Branch wise Post:
    • Flying Branch: 10% seats out of CDSE vacancies for PC and 10% seats out of AFCAT vacancies for SSC .

Education Qualification of Indian Air Force AFCAT :

Flying Branch

Candidates should have mandatorily passed with a minimum of 60% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and

  • Graduation with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
  • BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
  • Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

Ground Duty (Technical) Branch

Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)}:

Candidates with a minimum of 50% mark each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology from recognized University

Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) {AE (M)}:

Administration:

Passed 10+2 and Graduate Degree (Minimum three years degree course) in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent or cleared section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

Accounts Branch: 

Passed 10+2 and done graduation in any of the following streams with 60 % marks or equivalent from a recognized university:-

  • B. Com Degree (Min three years course).
  •  of Business Administration (with specialization in Finance)/ Bachelor of Management Studies (with specialization in Finance)/ Bachelor of Business Studies (with specialization in Finance)
  • Qualified CA/ CMA/ CS/ CFA.
  • B.Sc. with specialization in Finance.

NCC Special Entry (Flying Branch)

NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ certificate acquired on or after 01 Dec 17. Minimum of 60% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2. Graduates with a minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent OR BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent OR Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

For AFCAT Entry: Rs. 250/-

Age Limit of Indian Air Force AFCAT

For Flying Branch:

  • Minimum Age: 20 Years
  • Maximum Age: 24 Years
  • Candidates born between 02-01-1998 to 01-01-2002 (both dates inclusive)

For Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch:

  • Minimum Age: 20 Years
  • Maximum Age: 26 Years
  • Candidates born between 02-01-1996 to 01-01-2002 (both dates inclusive).
