Kyiv: Amid the ongoing military buildup on the Russian-Ukrainian border, the Indian Embassy in Kyiv has asked its citizens to live in Ukraine to register in an effort to disseminate information.
Embassies said it was very monitored the situation and asked Indians to continue to follow its website for renewal.
“With the intention of coordinating with Indians effectively, and disseminating information quickly, the Indian Embassy, Kyiv asked all Indian citizens, including students located in the Ukrainian region, to fill out the form below. The students are currently pursuing. Online education from India is directed at not to fill out the form, “said the Indian Embassy in the release.
“The Indian Embassy in Kyiv is very monitoring the situation. It is recommended to continue to follow Embassy websites, Facebook and Twitter pages for further updates, which will be published as and when needed,” he added.
Tensions over Ukraine have increased in recent months, with Russia and NATO accusing each other from the troops to collect on the Russian-Ukrainian border.
The United States and Ukraine accused Russia to make preparations to attack. Meanwhile, Moscow denied claims and maintained that no intention of attacking any country.
White House spokesman said on Tuesday said the US would welcome any country’s efforts to play a role in the de-escalation of increasing tensions between Russia and Ukraine, including India.
“We certainly welcome all efforts to reduce and we relate to various allies and partners about this, but I do not have specific conversations to be read related to Indian officials,” said White House spokesman Jen PSAKI A press briefing.
