Former Ministers Nimal Siripala De Silva, Wijeyedasa Rajapakshe and Dullas Alahapperuma have been proposed as their nominees for the Premier post by the 11 Parties and Independent Group.
These 11 parties that contested the last General election under the SLPP ticket became Independent in government.Later more than 10 SLPP MPs also became Independent.
