In the Red

When the darker mornings roll in, it’s all too likely that I’ll opt for a navy knit and gray knitted leggings (yep, and these are my faves) and be done with it for a classic working from home day. Gone are the days of plucking dresses in heart prints out of my wardrobe and teaming them with Borg-lined boots of my Uni years, but, for a while, gone also were the days of wearing real outfits. Freelancer woes. Now that I’m in the midst of an in-house stint, I’ve been feeling the autumnal sartorial vibes a little more and I’ve been a little more tempted to add to the ol’ wardrobe.
This red floral blouse from ASOS is kinda one of my new favourites. It’s pretty sheer but nothing a really-bloody-beautiful lace triangle bra or Uniqlo HeatTech top doesn’t fix and it’s pretty dramatic in the crisp autumn air when teamed with culottes. Oh, and I pretty much add my beloved Alexander Wang Kori boots to any off-duty outfit at this time of year. Easily one of my best luxury purchases.
