Verdict on In the Name of God

In the Name of God is a horror thriller following a priest who turns to God for help when his wife gets seriously ill. She fully recovers, but the price he paid to save her starts returning to haunt him. It leaves him in an impossible position, to save the people he loves.

This movie shows that even a man of faith will turn to anything to save their loved ones. It brings out a bigger question about where the line is when it comes to religion and belief and highlights the dangers of going too far. All while entering us into a world where people would ask for anything for another chance. It ends up feeling creepy and leaving us in a position of questioning, would we step over the lines for the same reason? The performances are strong and we get a horror which is willing to test the audience’s response in the same situation.

Final ThoughtsIn the Name of God is creepy and thought-provoking.
