This past Thursday evening I worked a twelve-hour overnight shift at a medical rehabilitation facility.
Early Friday morning, I arrived home to prepare for a four-and-a-half-hour shift scheduled at another location.
Later in the afternoon I watched a very entertaining 1949 film called Flamingo Road which starred Joan Crawford, David Brian, Sydney Greenstreet, and Zachary Scott.
This classic movie is excellent!
A noir that delves into power and corruption.
There is romance, violence- a woman trying to make her way in life as she and others are targeted around town by a ruthless man of law enforcement who is set to run things his way at any means necessary.
I love Joan Crawford films. I noticed a few cast members in this film who have starred with her in other movies- This Woman Is Dangerous (Joan and David Brian), Mildred Pierce (Joan and Zachary Scott).
Earlier in the week, either on Monday or Wednesday I don’t remember which day exactly I had watched two more great classics that were worth the view.
One was titled They Made Me A Criminal. It starred the wonderful actor, John Garfield.
The second was titled Passage to Marseille that was beautifully set in Paris.
It also starred Sydney Greenstreet (Flamingo Road) and the legendary Humphrey Bogart.
