For many, dreams of staying in a Palace will soon come true! The Hotel du Grand Controle, the traditional home of the Palace of Versaille's treasurers, is going to be transformed into a luxury hotel. Visitors can expect 23 luxury rooms, some of which will have a breathtaking view of the Chateau's "Orangerie" or the Swiss lake.
The Palace is actually a UNESCO World Heritage site, boasting achievements in French art. Tourists from all over come to visit, to see its renowned Hall of Mirrors, and to imagine Marie-Antoinette fleeing through its secret passages. Belgian company Ivy International SA is set to fund, renovate, and develop the building with about $7.3M, and architect Frederic Didier will manage its design.
