a recent evening with william monical, preeminent authority on early stringed instruments. it was a party in his honor at the invitation of luthiers gabriella guadalajara and sarah peck. a home and work space brim full of violins, cellos, violas, violas da gamba... some of great beauty, age... importance... (much like the crowd at the party- what charming people!)
