In Praise of Scaffolders (!) They do great things with scaffolding these days. Sometimes the gauze facsimile is so beautiful the building behind, when undressed, is a disappointment. I like the way there is a long strip – a practical measure for materials to be brought in – revealing the chaos behind.

… back in December. Okay it's not nearly quite so glam, but I love how they repositioned the plaque (or a version of it) before starting work. Nicely done.
