She's been careful to keep her distance, until the day one of them is found murdered and she quickly becomes the primesuspect. I had high hopes for this book after enjoying TheBlackbird Season so much. I thought this was a great book and I've becomequite a fan. The book is so well written and so plausible I felt I was readinga true crime story. The book reminds me a lot of Good Me, Bad Me by Ali Land. That's a good thing. Edie is a great character. I completely sympathised withher. She finds life hard as the daughter of a convicted serial killer. She isnothing like her mother but people judge her, often harshly, as if just waitingfor her to become her mother. This is unfair at times and made me mad. I didfind her obsession with the families of her mother's victims a bit disturbingand unsettling. I was shocked by how quickly she becomes a suspect when tragedystrikes but her behaviour at times was disturbing. Another great read. I lookforward to reading more by this author.
