In & Around London: Jack the Ripper "Solved"… AGAIN!

Monday is mute on The Daily Constitutional (well, almost mute) – because Monday is the day when we post five images captured in and around London by London Walks Guides and London Walkers.

So the Jack the Ripper case has been "solved". 
For at least the third time in as many years.

Regarding the alleged discovery of DNA evidence revealing the true identity of the killer, Professor Sir Alec Jeffreys, the man who invented the DNA fingerprint technique 30 years ago this week, is quoted in The Independent yesterday…

“An interesting but remarkable claim that needs to be subjected to peer review, with detailed analysis of the provenance of the shawl and the nature of the claimed DNA match with the perpetrator's descendants and its power of discrimination; no actual evidence has yet been provided.”  Read the full story HERE.
