Imaginext Transforming Batcave Review

By Maxwell1212 @MummyToTheMax
Maxwell is growing up, he is no longer the little boy who enjoys playing with sorting puzzles, rattles or pull along toys, he is now the nearly 4 year old little boy who is into everything and anything. Recently Maxwell has been into Lego and more recently he was lucky enough to see the Lego Movie. Thank's to the Lego Movie, Maxwell was introduced to characters such as Batman and since then, he has been a Batman fan.

Maxwell was recently sentan Imaginext DC Super Friends Transforming Batcave Play Set to try out from his new friend's over at Fisher Price. Maxwell was super excited to try his new toy out, especially when one morning he saw the toy he was expecting to arrive on a childrens TV advert. I knew as soon as Maxwell got his new toy, it would be love at first sight and I was not wrong. Since Maxwell has had his new Batcave Play Set, he has not put the toy down.
When the Batcave set arrived, I noted it came in a large box and the box itself was nearly as tall as Maxwell. It was an exciting time for Maxwell, Maxwell could not wait to get his hands on his new toy. When the toy arrived I questioned, what was there not to love about his new toy? It was large, bright, attractive and looked like a whole load of fun.

The Batcave was ready to go straight out of the box which was a massive relief. I often can get frustrated with building toys and Maxwell can get even more frustrated when he is sat waiting around for me to build things that he wants to get his hands on straight away. The Batcave was super easy to set up and I felt that this toy was pretty self explanatory to use. You did not need instructions for it to be set up and once it was set up, it stood strong and tall in our lounge. A nice touch that I felt Fisher Price had included in this toy was the fact that it included batteries, this touch meant I did not have to dash to the shops in order for Maxwell to get the full fun factor out of this toy straight away.
The Imaginext DC Super Friends Transforming Batcave is an interactive play set with lights, flying launchers, a moving elevator and bat wings that open. There were a half a dozen pieces to add to the toy to make playing with it even more fun but the toy also came with 2 figures - Batman and a Joker. Maxwell adores these 2 figures and we have found that Maxwell uses his imagination well when trying to create a fun story for Batman and the big baddie Joker to go on a adventure with.
When you and your child arrive at Gotham City you will be greeted with Batcave headquarters. To make a real adventure, you need to turn a Power Pad to transform the Batcave– the platforms, Batcomputer and Batwings open and the eyes light up! Whilst on your magical adventure you are able to chuck Joker into jail, fly up in your elevator and load a projectile launcher to hit the big baddies with.

Maxwell adores this toy and it really is a toy that would be perfect for any little boy or girls Christmas or Birthday present. The toy is made well and it has been finished off well. It has been made with little hands but big imaginations in mind. There are no sharp edges, the accessories can be kept together easily (we use a little bowl) and the toy Batcave fits neatly together and stores well.
Maxwell has had this toy for a few weeks now and it is not something that he seems to be getting bored of. It is a toy that will be played with over and over again, can be used for lots of different scenarios and it suitable for children from 3 years old to around 8 years old.
We are looking forward to adding to this set and finding more secret compartments to this set that we already have - this set constantly gives and we are finding new things about this toy 2 weeks on from opening it and starting to play with it. Maxwell has already added a few additional items to his Christmas list which relate to the Imaginext brand. The Imaginext DC Super Friends Transforming Batcave retails at £59.99 at Smyths which I think is great value for money due to the quality of this toy.
