Ilocos Tour: Review for Astrokidd Travel and Tour Agency

When I made the decision to travel alone, my two options were either to commute alone or avail the joiners' tour of some travel & tour agencies. but when I was browsing my facebook timeline, I saw Astrokidd Travel and Tour Agency's advertisement about their Ilocos Tour for just Php2,950.00. I compared all my expenses and other considerations, and between commuting alone and availing the joiners' tour, I've concluded that it is more practical to join the tour as a joiner which was hassle-free. Here are the inclusions for the package:

JOINERS TOUR (3 days and 2 nights)
2,950 per person joiners/combined tours NO MINIMUM PERSON REQUIRED (room sharing 6 person per rooms)
  • Quadruple sharing- 3,100 per person
  • Triple sharing- 3,200 per person
  • Twine sharing- 3,500 per person
List of hotel accommodation.
      • Round trip air conditioned transfers (Manila to Ilocos to Manila)
      • Two nights hotel lodge/inn room accommodation in Laoag or San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte
      • Tour around ilocos
      • Driver's fees, meals and accommodation
      • Fuel, parking, and toll fees
      • Permits and taxes
      • all entrance fee

Strength:

Most of the travel agencies will never tell you if there are changes in the itinerary and there are others who have a hidden charges within the package. But Astrokidd Travel and Tour Agency is different because they will notify you even the smallest details in the changes in the itinerary. One week before our tour, they texted us if it is fine to add an additional Php200.00 for the buffet dinner on the second day of our tour which they explained the reasons, because our last destination on our second day was in Sand Dunes which is two hours away from our hotel accommodation and there's an acoustic night session in Sand Dunes so we'll definitely be back in the hotel late.

Also, another thing I noticed is that all of their drivers are professionals and really knows every destinations very well. We were composed of three vans together and I personally liked their constant communication via radio phones, they helped each other when someone got stuck in traffic. And, I really admired our Travel Tour Guide which is Kuya Glenn and our driver which is Kuya Genesis, they are both passionate in doing their job and very accommodating.

Weakness:

I can't think of any negative comment about this agency specifically for their Ilocos Tour aside from one thing which is the hotel accommodation. Although, I don't expect an elegant hotel accommodation because of the cheap tour fee but I just don't like that West Gate Hotel's room doesn't have any drawer for our belongings, hangers for our towels and wet clothes, and blankets when sleeping. But these are something they can improve with.

Will I try again the joiners' tour? Yes, of course! Aside from having fun while traveling alone, I got a chance to meet awesome people who have their own reasons why they love to travel as well.

Will I try to avail another promo of Astrokidd? Definitely, Yes!
