Our Tuesday
slot in which we point you in the direction of other great happenings and
events in our great city. A new exhibition, a gig, a museum, a pop-up-shop –
the best of London within a few minutes of a London Walks walking
tour.
Go to The Proms.
The Proms (short
for promenade concert) is an annual festival of music at the Royal Albert Hall.
Inclusive and affordable, most of the concerts get booked up very quickly, but
the floor of the vast auditorium is set aside for promenaders – standing room
tickets – available on the day of the performance. This is where the party is.
It all starts in the queue itself, which has an atmosphere all its own.
Proms highlights this week include
Vaughan Williams' The Lark Ascending at 6:30pm on Wednesday 13th…
The BBC Proms website with the full
programme is here: www.bbc.co.uk/proms
A
London Walk costs £9 – £7 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your
guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all
