Our Tuesday
slot in which we point you in the direction of other great happenings and
events in our great city. A new exhibition, a gig, a museum, a pop-up-shop –
the best of London within a few minutes of a London Walks walking
tour.
Visit Golders Green Crematorium
London's first crematorium – and one of the oldest in the UK – was opened at Golders Green in 1902.
One of London's loveliest green spaces is the final resting place for Prime Ministers and playwrights, musicians and movie stars. The staff are exceptionally helpful if you are looking for a specific memorial and there's a tea room, too.
The grounds are open in Summer - 09:00 - 18:00 and in Winter - 09:00 - 16:00
A London Walk costs £9 – £7 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all London Walks can be found at www.walks.com.
