If You Do One OTHER Thing In London This Week…

By Lwblog @londonwalks

If You Do One OTHER Thing In London This Week…Our Tuesday slot in which we point you in the direction of other great happenings and events in our great city. A new exhibition, a gig, a museum, a pop-up-shop – the best of London within a few minutes of a London Walks walking tour.
If You Do One OTHER Thing In London This Week…
David Bailey’s career as a portrait photographer is unrivalled. For 50 years and more he has shot the great and the good (and the downright villainous) in his own bold, inimitable style. He’s almost a byword for the business of photography in our country, to the extent that it’s sometimes easy to forget the sheer scope of his work – and how lucky we are to have him chronicle our age.
This exhibition (Bailey said on TV that he hates the word “retrospective”) is a great opportunity to stand back and admire the man’s work away from his personal legend.
Bailey’s Stardust runs to 1st June 2014.
