Our Tuesday slot in which we point you in the direction of other great happenings and events in our great city. A new exhibition, a gig, a museum, a pop-up-shop – the best of London within a few minutes of a London Walks walking tour.
The British Music Experience
British popular culture deserves an exhibition as vivid as this one.
The British Music Experience has pulled off a tough high wire act – the perfect balance of interactive content and good old fashioned, well-presented information.
While the kids are drumming and strumming in the interactive music studio, or howling in the vocal booth or busting moves on the dancefloor, you can slope off and read and listen and watch everyone from British jazz legend Humphrey Lyttleton to Adam Ant unfold their part in the history of modern music.
Your ticket comes with a smart card which stores info about your visit and when you get home you can relive your guitar and drum lessons, or you vocal attempts online. They close at 7:30p.m – otherwise this aging rocker would have stayed all night.
