Using every utensil to make dessert!

Each Fourth of July, my daughter or I make a dessert. Because she’s been out winning tennis tournaments (go her!), I took it on this year. Now, I enjoy making desserts, but…it always seems as if I have to use almost every utensil. (You can’t see that the counter behind me is just as cluttered.) Part of the reason for that is because I am always modifying recipes as I go along, so I don’t always know how they’ll turn out. This one, which you can see prepared in the springform pan, is for a berry trifle. I used bits and pieces from about 5 different recipes plus some ideas of my own. If has to sit in the fridge for 3 hours to mold, so I won’t know until I serve it to our guetss whether or not it turned out!
