Last night (Sept 2), VH1 showed a different side of the hip hop genre. They gave us the Untold Story of Atlanta’s Rise In The Rap Game.
They chronicled the beginning of the rap scene where they weren’t getting as much respect to the their rise as the top region in the genre, taking its crown from both New York and Los Angeles.
As a hip hop fan it’s definitely worth a watch as you gain a complete different perspective on how hip hop influenced a city which was otherwise underdogs in the genre told by some of the biggest stars from the city.
