McCormick Tribune Ice Rink re-opens for the winter season on November 17

Ice Skating at Millennium Park Starts Again This November

In just a little under a month, ice skating at Millennium Park will kick-off to ring in winter. On November 17, the same day as the Annual Chicago Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and the opening of Christkindlmarket, head over to McCormick Tribune Ice Rink for a scenic, cold-weather activity.

Centrally-located in Millennium Park bordering Michigan Avenue between Madison and Washington Street is one of Chicago’s favorite winter attractions that’s conveniently open to the public and free to visit, with skate rentals available for only $12 Mondays – Thursdays and $14 Fridays – Sundays and on holidays.

The McCormick Tribune Ice Rink offers plenty of great programming that’s perfect for a wintery date, a night out with friends, or family-friendly fun. Their Winter Workouts series holds free skating lessons an hour before the rink opens Friday through Sunday.

The opening of the McCormick Tribune Ice Rink will definitely give Chicagoans something to look forward to for the approaching winter season. See you on the rink!
