ICE at Gaylord Palms – Kung Fu Panda Awesome Snow

I have been patiently waiting for the winter time to arrive so I could finally attend ICE at Gaylord Palms. They had a number of shows to choose from, such as Shrek the Halls, Puss in Boots and SNOW. I purchased the SNOW tickets for 2 adults($40), while my daughter was free and as the days passed by, I was more excited to attend because it has been over 6 years since I have seen or felt snow. As I was printing my tickets the day of the show, I noticed that the tickets said “Kung Fu Panda Awesome Snow”, which they had failed to mentioned during my purchasing process. I was not going to let this be a downer so I remained positive with an open mind and still pretty excited to show my daughter snow. When we arrived and stepped in through the doors, you could feel the cool temperature, the halls had a very nice, winter holiday feel to it. A big Christmas tree greets you as you first walk in with nice decorations throughout the halls. Finally, we make it to the show and before we walk in, we made sure we were well bundled up with our coats, hats, scarfs and gloves. Now time for the disappointment:
  1. The snow was too hard and felt like crushed ice. (Nothing like real snow from up north)
  2. The room was the size of a small auditorium.
  3. The snow was so hard and packed that it felt like you were ice skating. (Not too safe)
  4. There was actually an injury.
  5. The coats, and hats were overkill. You really only needed gloves to handle the rock hard snow.
After the 1 hour event in a small room, which really just seemed like a playground with some snow, we left and also had to pay $12 for parking. I don’t think we will do ICE at Gaylord Palms again. Gaylord Palms Po Snow balls Snow mans Icy Snow Slide Tunnels Entrance Kung fu Panda
