ICC Chief Executive Official Geoff Allardice met Sports Minister Harin Fernando at the Sports Ministry Board Room yesterday. ICC CEO had a successful discussion with the Minister and other officials.
According to the senior official of the Sports Ministry, the Sports Minister explained the present situation of Sri Lanka Cricket. The activities for cricket development are progressing smoothly, especially without any political influence.
“ICC official is happy about the process of Sri Lanka Cricket and we can expect a positive answer very soon about ICC suspension removal,” said a senior official of the Sports Ministry. ICC CEO and Sports Minister Harin Fernando were expected to meet President Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday evening.
