"Gay marriage is not a human right, according to European ruling"

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi's Wedding

I have to completely disagree with this (click link above) ruling from the European Court of Human Rights, which states that gay marriage is not a human right. It states in the European Convention of Human Rights under Article 12 that "Men and women of marriageable age have the right to marry and to found a family" and under Article 14 "The enjoyment of the rights and freedoms set forth in this Convention shall be secured without discrimination on any ground such as sex, race, colour, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, association with a national minority, property, birth or other status."

Therefore how can the Court disagree that gay marriage is a human right, if straight people can do it, so should gay, transgender, Martian...everyone! The whole point of human rights is that they are afforded to all humans alike, its not a case of one rule for them and another rule for the others. Equality cannot be rationed. Universality cannot be individualised. It is our human right to marry and dammit if I want to I shall marry whomever I please!
