I’m in Canada!

By Giuliaccia

The day has come: I’ve been so annoying with all my Canada-related posts and status updates, but now… No, just kidding, that was just the beginning!

My plane to Canada!

The flights were good, but the airline was slightly disappointing. Luckily though, I had a real treat waiting for me in Vancouver: for the first time in my life I used a limo service (courtesy of Blacklane) and man that felt good! Especially after almost 24 hours of travel.

What  journey! Seeing the Rockies from above was one of the best parts. Together with the skyline of Toronto (which I won’t be visiting this time) I felt like I already saw something but then hey Pacific Ocean, nice to see you again! Landing in Vancouver was fantastic. It made me think of some kind of mix between Halong Bay and the Norwegian Fiords. How many co things to see in just one (long) day!

Woke up to this on my first day in Canada. Not bad eh!

This is my first time in Canada and I’m beyond excited. I’m here to see the place of course, but also to meet some very special people I met in Roatan while living there last winter.

I’m so far away from home and from any place I’ve been to before. Flying to Vancouver took a long time but it’s when I started moving East by bus, across the Rockies and all the way to Calgary, that I got to measure the size of this country with my own feet and sight.

I’ll send you updates soon. I don’t have my laptop on me so the (hopefully) good pics are still to come.

I saw a bear!!!

Sneak peek: I saw a bear!!! (actually 2)

But what I can say is that I am loving it here, and I’m also loving the people, that make me feel so welcome and comfortable. Thank you Canada!
