‘I Left PDP Because the Party is Dead’ – Senator Abbo

Posted on the 31 December 2020 by Naijaparry

Senator representing Adamawa North in the National Assembly, Elisha Abbo has revealed his reason for defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to All Progressive Congress, APC.

According to the embattled senator who recently declared his interest to contest for governor of Adamawa State in 2023, he left the opposition party to join the ruling party because the later was a dead political party.

Ngnews247.com understands that Abbo stated this in Ganye where he confirmed his interest to contest for the state governorship seat. Abbo at a talent hunt soccer competition organised by the youth wing of his political campaign structure, said he would take a shot at the Adamawa governorship seat.

When asked if the misunderstanding between him and the sitting governor, Ahmad Fintiri had forced him out of the PDP, Abbo said, "I left the PDP because the PDP is dead."

According to him, he must remain a role model to youths as one of the youngest persons to have been elected into the Senate in the current dispensation.
