Review
The darkest of dark humor is my cup of tea.
…
That not changing any time soon.
The art style is the aesthetic of candy land, candy crush, or any other world that made up of sugar.
The humor is dark and crashes with the sugary world of fairyland. As the cover suggest this story gets a bit gory in the most humorist way possible. Within the first few pages your introduces to Gertrude who looks like a little girl but is not. After being trap in fairyland for so long, unable to find the key to go home, she have been driven to being completely psychotic.
I understand that this graphic novel is not for everyone.
Which give some questions. Why was Gertrude trap in fairyland for years, while other kids come and find the key to go home in less then a day?
Why are there dark places? Does this suggest that Fairyland not an innocent place where little kids can come and have an adventure?
There is a lot more going on.
Given that this is a series I’m intrigue to find out.
