Story: Hypnotic starts when detective Danny Rourke (Affleck) gets to return to the force after his daughter is taken. However, his first case involves staking out a bank. It seems like a simple job, but Lev Dellrayne (Fichtner) arrives with unexpected abilities. Lev robs the back with ease, leaving Danny in the middle of a much bigger conspiracy involving his lost daughter.
Danny turns to local hypnotist Diana Cruz (Braga) for answers. However, it sees him needing to unlock a bigger secret involving his past. Although, he doesn’t know who to trust in this much darker world than he could ever imagine.
Verdict on Hypnotic
Hypnotic is a sci-fi action movie following a detective who gets involved in trying to find his missing daughter. However, it takes him down a case involving hypnotists which leaves him questioning everything around him.
This is a movie that is filled with twists and turns. It is a good thing because just when you think you know what is going on, the rug is pulled out again. However, you can see why people could see it as too many twists. In any event, we get to see a mystery thriller covered in a sci-fi twist keeping us on the edge of our seats.
