While real jetpacks won’t be able to take you to work anytime soon, there are some alternatives that at least let you to feel what it would be like. Hydro Powered Jetovator is a single-seat water jet that suspends its rider up to 25’ in the air. The water is supplied via a 40’ hose that connects to the Jetovator’s rear. It actually requires a watercraft behind which controls the trailing, so it’s not exactly an independent ride, but Jetovator allows the rider to perform some hair-rising tricks including backflips, barrel rolls, corkscrews, or dives underwater.
