“The tranquil bush just out of Coromandel Town was the perfect setting for a romantic shoot put together by a couple of Kiwi creatives. An intimate meal under the trees, a private ceremony in the bush and candlelit photos.
We found the perfect mix of rustic romance and Coro charm at Hush. Inspired by the native bush that surrounds Coromandel and that Hush is nestled in, I used armfuls of scented Manuka paired with the perfect white blooms of orchids, chrysanthemums and tulips. I love the contrast and simplicity of the pure white flowers against the natural timber and lush foliage.
Our gorgeous gown from Sally Eagle has such beautiful lines I wanted to mirror this in the bouquet using trails of native foliage to reflect the flowing rhythm of the train. We hope you can find a little bit of kiwi inspiration from what we have put together.”

“Jase and I were living in Melbourne, nicely settled in our freshly renovated home in the inner west, with our baby girl on the way. Whilst holidaying in Coromandel Town we browsed the real estate for sale and to be nosey thought we would go and look at an accommodation business. Simply put…we fell in love. The ambience of the bubbling stream, birdsong and the rustic charm of the wooden cabins created a feeling that made us want to buy it on the spot. Not ones to let having to have a baby, move country and renovate the business within a 3 month time frame slow us down, we jumped into the biggest adventure of our lives.
Now, almost 2 years later, Hush Boutique Accommodation has been gushed over by many guests enjoying its unique charm and is now opening its doors as an intimate wedding venue. We have been so lucky to be embraced by the incredibly talented Courtney Horwood photography and Jess from Honeysucklerose who have jumped on board our vision and created this magical shoot oozing Coromandel vibes and sophistication.”

There is something about meeting someone new, taking their photo and learning their story that constantly inspires me. This is why I love photography, my job takes me to some amazing places, I have the chance to meet interesting people and the opportunity to glimpse a moment in someone else’s life.
