(Myrtle Beach) Hurricane Isaias hit the state of North Carolina, in the southeastern United States, on Monday evening, where it could cause potentially deadly heavy rains, according to meteorologists.

The storm, accompanied by winds up to 119 km / h, made landfall near 'Ocean Isle Beach at 23 h 10, in southern North Carolina, said the US National Hurricane Center (NHC), based in Miami, Florida.
A low falls into category 1 on the Saffir-Simpson hurricane classification scale – of which there are five – when its maximum sustained winds exceed 119 km / h.
