Hulu
Hulu is already the best streaming deal in my humble opinion and has a plethora of great content for a very reasonable $ 5.99 per month. And it got even better: Current subscribers to the service's ad-supported plan can get a full year for $ 59.99. It's like getting two months off - or saving about 17% of the year if you prefer to put it that way.
However, currently this option is only available to current subscribers. The Hulu press release notes that it will be available to new ad-supported subscribers later this year. No mention is made of whether Hulu also offers an annual option for the Hulu / Disney Plus / ESPN Plus package, which is currently $ 12.99 per month.
I am not alone in my love for Hulu; My CNET colleagues voted it "the best service to keep up with the shows right now". (Here is the full list of our favorite streaming services.) Among the great things I've seen lately: Devs, Palm Springs, Mrs. America, Parasite, and What We Do in the Shadows.
Personally, I am willing to pay extra for an ad-free viewing experience. But if you want dirt cheap streaming TV and can live with the ads, this $ 59.99 deal is pretty cute.
Now for a bit of fully justified nepotism: I'll think about it CBS All Access the second-best deal on streaming as it has a wealth of great content for $ 5.99 per month. All Star Treks are there (new and old), plus The Good Fight, Survivor, Live CBS on-site, and much more. (Like CNET, CBS All Access is owned by ViacomCBS.)
