Huawei P20 Pro, P20 With FullView Displays, AI Camera Announced

Huawei has announced its latest flagship smartphones globally. The Chinese tech giant has announced the Huawei P20 Pro, P20, and the budget-friendly P20 Lite. While the P20 lite was launched in various European markets sometime back, the P20 Pro attracted maximum frenzy, thanks to its triple camera setup at the back.

Apart from a sleuth of features the new Huawei P20Pro and P20 come with some interesting color options. Both the phones are available in Graphite Black, Midnight Blue, Pink Gold (gradient colors), and Twilight (gradient colors). The company has put in color matched themes to add to the charm.

Huawei P20 and P20 Pro price

The Huawei P20 Pro price starts at Euro 899 i.e approx Rs. 72,000 while the P20 price starts at Euro 649 i.e approx Rs. 52,200. Both of these phones will be immediately available globally. Country wise launch plans are yet to be announced.

The Huawei P20 Pro sports a 5.8-inch Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass display,  an Octa-Core HiSilicon Kirin 970 10nm SoC with i7 co-processor and a dedicated Neural processing unit that takes care of AI/AR related stuff. The phone runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with Emotion UI 8.1 on top as well as support for Google AR Core.

The highlight of the P20 Pro is its triple camera setup. It comes with Leica triple-lens camera with 40-megapixel RGB sensor, a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor and an 8-megapixel sensor with a telephoto lens. These lenses collectively mean that the main camera can punch up to 68-megapixels while the camera up front is 24 megapixels.

The Huawei P20 packs a 5.8-inch Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass display that comes with a notch. The phone is powered by Huawei’s’ in-house Octa-Core HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC with i7 co-processor. It comes with a dedicated neural network processing unit and runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with Emotion UI 8.1 out of the box. The phone supports Google AR Core.

The Huawei P20 houses a Leica dual-lens camera with 12-megapixel RGB sensor, 20-megapixel monochrome sensor, and 2x Hybrid Zoom. It has a 24-megapixel camera up front for selfies.

The Huawei P20 Pro and P20 India launch date have not yet been announced however we expect the launch to happen pretty soon. The company is set to make a return in India with its premium series phones announced today. We will keep you posted once the launch dates are revealed.
