Huawei Mate X2 launched with a new folding design, 90Hz displays and Kirin 9000 chipset. The Chinese tech company claims that the Mate X2 uses zirconium-based liquid metal for the hinge system, which ensures that there are no gaps when the device is folded. Huawei Mate X2 comes in Glaze White, Black, Crystal Blue, and Crystal Pink color option and runs on EMUI 11 based on Android 10 out of the box.

The Huawei Mate X2 features a 6.45-inches OLED FHD+ (2700 x 1160 resolution) display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 456 PPI screen density, 240Hz touch sampling rate and a pill-shaped punch hole at the top left corner for two front-facing cameras.


The Folded display has 8-inches OLED FHD+ (2480 x 2200 resolution) display with a 90Hz refresh rate, P3 wide color gamut, 413 PPI screen density and 180Hz touch sampling rate. Under the hood, The smartphone is powered by the Kirin 9000 processor and coupled with 8GB of RAM & up to 512GB of expandable storage. The smartphone packs a 4500mAh battery capacity with support for 55W fast wired charging.


In terms of camera, The smartphone is equipped with a quad rear camera setup that houses a 50-Megapixel (primary) sensor with an f/1.9 aperture + 16-Megapixel (Ultrawide) sensor with f/2.2 aperture + 12-Megapixel (telephoto) sensor with an f/2.4 aperture + 8-Megapixel (periscope) with f/4.4 aperture. On the front, there is a 16-Megapixel dual front-facing camera. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, dual-frequency GPS, an infrared sensor, and a USB 3.1 GEN1 Type-C port. In terms of dimensions, The device measures 161.8 x 74.6 x 14.7 mm when folded and 161.8 x 145.8 x 8.2 mm when unfolded.

The base variant of the Huawei Mate X2 is priced at RMB 17,999 (around Rs.2,01,000) for the 256GB variant whereas the 512GB RAM version carries a price tag of RMB 18,999 (around Rs.2,13,034). It will go on sale in China on February 25. Inbox accessories include a Huawei SuperCharge charger, a Type-C data cable, a pair of Type-C earphones, and a leather protective case.
