Huawei Ascend P2 to be unveiled at 2013 Barcelona MWC in February
According to a tech website Unwiredview that Huawei may launch a follow up model of the of the thinnest smartphone to date, Huawei Ascend P1. The new device is called the Huawei Ascend P2 that could be unveiled at MWC 2013 in Barcelona next month.
According to the website the new Ascend P2 will feature a 1.8GHz quad-core processor, probably utilizing Huawei’s own HiSilicon K2V3 chip, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP camera, a 4.5-inch 1,920 x 1080 full HD quality display. It will also be equipped with an enormous 3000mAh battery and powered by Android Jelly Bean plus a customized Huawei user interface.
A tech website itproportal also commented on the new Huawei device, “The configuration is almost identical to the Huawei Ascend D2 which was launched at CES earlier this year. We suspect that the P2 will be pitched at a price comparable to the D2 and will remain a top-of-the-range model. It will be interesting to see how long it will take for the P2 (and the D2 and the Mate) to reach availability in the UK.”
I will be expecting the Ascend P2 to reach Malaysia soon and to get an idea of the pricing. Hopefully I will be among the first to report about the device when it finally reach our stores.
