Tommi is a resident in the home too, she becomes friends with Alice. Having a unique connection to Alice, one that will help drive the research she conducts.
In the supporting cast we only get a few characters that fill in blanks for Alice. Most are left to be in the middle of not knowing what we can trust.
Michelle Morris takes the leading role in the movie. She will show the descent her character goes through, never knowing what is around the corner. The supporting cast in the movie are strong, even if they don’t get enough screen time to shine.
Story
The story follows a student that finds herself getting more than she bargained for after moving into a new home. One helping her understand the study into angles creating gateways to alternate dimensions.
Using the H.P. Lovecraft story that we saw ‘Masters of Horror’ use before. The idea that evil is waiting through unusually created angles in buildings, is an interesting concept. We will get into a lot more nightmarish creations in this version of the story. One that will look to give us shocking disturbing images. Ones that get more disturbing as the story unfolds.
Themes
H.P. Lovecraft’s Witch House is a horror mystery looking to dive into the legendary authors theories. Using the nightmare creations of what could be between dimensions, good and evil. Showing us how even a simple placement of a building could have darker sinister motivations. We get plenty of horror in the movie, with most of the visions, creations being stuff of nightmares.
Final Thoughts – H.P. Lovecraft’s Witch House is a disturbing trip into the mind of Lovecraft’s theories.
