Method 1: Run reboot.bat files

  2. Close QuickBooks application.
  3. Then on the Shortcut tab of the Properties screen, click the Open File Location button.
  4. Locate a file called Reboot.bat or reboot script from the list and right-click to select Run as administrator.
  5. The black CMD window will reveal another scrolling file and ask permission to start rebooting your computer, accept the permission and restart your computer. If a new update is available.

Method 2: Set Internet Explorer as your Default Internet Browser

  1. There may be one of a number of factors causing QuickBooks to error out.
