How to Transition Your Summer Dresses into Fall.

Transitioning that favorite dress into Fall is quite easy. All you need to do is add layers depending on the type of climate you’re in. I live in San Diego so obviously I don’t need as many layers now as I would have in college at Boise State. I’m sure most people think they wouldn’t be able to wear a dress throughout the Winter in Idaho. But you can, and quite fashionably I might add.

Accessorizing is key. So let’s start with the basic dress and my outfit pictured here.

I put on my dress, then added a sweater, so it basically looks like a sweater and a skirt. That looked a bit plain, so I added a lightweight scarf… which is perfect for here. I’m quite tired of wearing sandals so I opted for my comfy cowboy boots to avoid looking too preppy. Toss on a few bracelets and you’re good to go.

Now if it is much cooler where you are…. you can still wear these basics: Dress, Sweater, Boots.  All you need to do is add tights, maybe some knee highs or leg warmers on top of the tights, swap out the lightweight scarf for one made of heavier fabric. And depending on how the climate is where you live, add a jacket. If I were to wear a jacket with this particular outfit I would wear a wool pea coat, {with extra large buttons}. I love buttons.

Now, I’m off to go get the hair done, Enjoy your day! I know I will :)
