How To Style Florals for Spring (Groundbreaking)

By Winyeemichelle
A few weeks ago, the team at Boohoo asked me to get involved in a campaign they’re running this year. The Dress of the Month campaign challenges bloggers each month to style up one dress amongst them in different ways and I thought it would make a fun throwback around these parts to take part! It’s been absolutely years since I did one of these monthly challenges and I forgot how much I’d enjoyed styling to a ‘brief’. I usually just throw on some pieces and go!
The Rudy cape front tea dress is a cute little floral print dress. Once again, I can’t remember the last time I actually wore florals but it felt nostalgic to do so again and, dare I say it? I didn’t hate it. I’ve always floral prints on a darker base and so paired it with the girliest accessories in my wardrobe with tit-tape plus an old faithful to toughen the mix up: my bashed-up leather jacket.
These bow strap ballet flats are a product of extreme coveting after spotting them on Sarah’s Instagram last week. And, being the phone-less human that I was, I took to extreme methods to hunt them down from her, finding a neat little link on her blog (which is often full of the most well-edited shopping guides EVER, may I add). They’re from Accessorize of all places, are ridiculously comfortable and rub-free AND are the perfect pair to slip on with dresses as much as they are to pair with jeans and a ‘nice top’.
A huge thank you must go to Boohoo for inviting me to take part in this challenge.
