Inspired by an incredible true story that took place in Leipzig in 2015, How To Sell Drugs Online (Fast) is a German pop and quirky series that made its small impact in 2019 on Netflix. This fiction tells the hallucinating adventure of Moritz (Maximilian Mundt) a high school student who became the boss of My Drugs, an online drug resale site with the help of his friends. His small business, which quickly became lucrative, caused him many problems, between competition from other dealers, demanding partners, the police on his heels and relatives complicated to manage. The first season hinted that this was just the beginning of the story, and the second season trailer heralded explosive new episodes.
The euphoria continues in season 2
The second has been well engaged for these new episodes of How To Sell Drugs Online (Fast) since the noose tightens around Moritz, Lenny (Danilo Kamperidis) and Dan (Damian Hardung). Rid of the dealer Buba, the three teenagers try as best they can to lead their boat, but Buba's "family" attacks them and encourages them to continue the business and sell more. Their Dutch partner Good Times always puts pressure on them too and this has the effect of creating tensions within the group. And it is on this ground that the German series fishes a little. Certain reversals of the situation are sometimes awkwardly brought about and lose the viewer a little in his desire to follow this anti-hero with somewhat forced features. It's not Walter White who wills.

But overall, How To Sell Drugs Online (Fast) Season 2 continues the strong momentum of the inaugural season by delivering enjoyable, fast binge-watchable entertainment. The German series remains terribly effective by using the ingredients that made the success of the first season: schoolboy gags but well felt, a meta narration precisely measured (between Netflix and Mark Zuckerberg), a refreshing pop atmosphere and a rhythmic soundtrack. The strength of How To Sell Drugs Online lies more in its ability to capture the essence of an ambitious and modern generation than in its storytelling of the drug business. Finally, this plot serves as a sometimes malleable red thread to a larger portrait of a sassy youth, a little groggy and lost.
Even if we are delighted to find Moritz, Dan and Lenny again, we can only be delighted to see the female characters being more present and asserting themselves all the more, such as Lisa (Lena Klenke), Kira (Lena Urzendowsky) and the business women of Good Times, who rightly disturb our three protagonists. Their meteoric rise and their pocketbook draws them a lot of trouble and the end of season 2, leaving Moritz, Dan and Lenny on the floor after some bad shenanigans, inevitably announces a season 3, while Moritz, still being interviewed by journalists, go back to the police. How will this mind-boggling story end? Fingers crossed to know the answer in a season 3 of How To Sell Drugs Online (Fast), which we still hope to be the last for a conclusion in beauty like its colleague Dark.
