Quickly get your phone out of the water:

As soon as the phone falls in water, the user should immediately grab it and take it out. Since there are small holes or points for USB cable, microphone, charging, etc… there are great possibilities of water penetrating within the phone. Hence, once the user grabs the phone back, he or she should immediately switch it off. In case of leaving it on, the phone might catch short circuit can it may lose upon the data as well as the phone.

Getting your phone out of water as soon as you can:

The more the phone is immersed in water, more is the possibility of it getting drained forever. It is essential to get your phone out of water as soon as possible. In case like spinning in washing machine, or remained dipped in water tub for long may take the life of your phone away forever. Being proactive will be the only way to save the data and phone as much as possible.

Get a soft cotton cloth and remove the battery cover along with battery:

This is most essential step that needs to be done as soon as you grab your phone back. The user should remove the battery cover as well as the battery as set them aside separately. The circuits in the phone are prone to get immersed due to water. In order to ensure its safety, the user should check out the corners of the place where battery is affixed. There is a white circle or a square with or without the red lines. If this square or circle is found to be red or pink, then the phone will surely have water damage.

Remove your SIM card:

SIM card is supposed to be removed as early as possible. The SIM contains important contacts which need to be saved as well. The SIM should be cleaned with a soft cloth and kept it aside to dry.

Use a dry cloth for wiping:

The user should ensure to wipe the phone at the best. Even a single drop of water can prove to be damaging for the phone. Hence, the phone should be ensured to be dried from every single nook and corner.

Try to only use a Vacuum Cleaner:

People often tend to dry the phone with the help of a hair dryer. A hair dryer instead pushes and channelizes the moisture further. Hence, a vacuum cleaner is an advisable option. It sucks all the water that is deep inside the phone. The vacuum should be held at a distance. After this, the phone should be remained in the given position for minimum 24 hours.

Check your phone:

Post 24 hours, the phone should be checked properly. If it is 100% dried, the user should plug back the battery and battery cover and switch it on. The phone should be connected with a charger and then switched on. In case the phone does not work, then it is advisable to contact the authorized dealer.
