Follow the steps below to record computer screen with PowerPoint:

  1. Open PowerPoint on your computer.
  2. In PowerPoint select the Insert tab at the top of PowerPoint and then select Screen Recording.
  3. Select the area of your screen you want PowerPoint to record. This can be a portion of the screen or the entire screen.
  4. In the PowerPoint screen recording menu select your desired options to have the recording include audio(microphone and desktop audio) or your computer cursor.
  5. To begin your screen recording select Record or use the keyboard shortcut Windows logo key + Shift + R.
  6. Once the recording has started, PowerPoint will capture everything on your screen. Once you are finished you can use the menu to either pause the recording or stop it and insert it into your PowerPoint presentation.
