Youtube monetization is not only about youtube partner program i.e. Google Adsense. However, the major chunk of my tutorial is going to cover the Youtube monetization through Google Adsense because it’s indeed the most prominent way for that.
But I’ll also cover how to monetize your youtube channel if your Youtube Adsense account is blocked. And believe me, all these ways are extremely legit and pays you real hefty sum!
Therefore, the below tutorial has been divided into two parts. In the first part, I’ll tell you how to monetize youtube videos with Adsense. While the second part is dedicated to teaching you the other ways on how to monetize youtube videos apart from Adsense. Let’s get started!
Part 1. How to Monetize Youtube Videos with Adsense
In order to monetize your Youtube videos with Google Adsense, your channel must have at least 10k views in total. If you fulfill that criteria, follow the below step to get started with Google Adsense.
Step 1. First of all, you need to go to your channel’s creator studio. So, once you are logged in to your Youtube account, click on Your profile icon at the top right corner. Once done, go to the Creator studio option.

Step 2. Now when you are in the creator’s studio, click on the option Channel from the left-hand side. There, the second option you will see is Monetization. Just click on that option.
If you don’t see this option, just have a look at the left-hand side and the third option there is monetization. Below the monetization box, there is a little enable button. Just click on this button.
Step 3. On going to the monetization, you will see the following page.
As you can see in the below screenshot that the channel monetization status is given as,
Account status: Monetization not enabled
Now we need to apply for monetization. And in order to do that, we need to go through the four channel monetization steps.
Step 4. To start the process, click on the START button highlighted in the below screenshot. This step asks you to “Read and agree to the YouTube Partner Program terms” and agree to that.
So click on the START button to begin the process.
Step 5. On the next page, read all the terms and conditions carefully and click the check box for “I’ve read the terms and conditions” and click I accept
Step 6. With this, you are done with the first step and the red sign will turn out to be green. And the second step i.e Sign up for AdSense will get unblocked. Now click on START button next to this option.

Step 7. In the next page, you will be asked to link your Adsense account to your Youtube channel if you already have an Adsense account. Else, you need to sign up for a fresh new Adsense account by filling the details.
To link your existing AdSense account with your Youtube channel, click Sign in and enter your credentials. And if you want to create a new account, click Create account and fill your correct details in the form. Once done, you will be redirected back to Youtube.
Step 8. In the third step, you need to set the monetization preferences that what types of ads you want to run on your videos. Once you are done with this step, just one last step is left i.e your Channel review.
Step 9. The fourth step is done by Youtube. After following the first three steps, Youtube reviews your channel as soon as the first 10k views are completed on your channel.
If you channel contains the original and genuine contents, follows the Youtube guidelines and policies, your channel gets approved by the Youtube for displaying ads. Usually, it takes up to 2-3 days to 1 week to receive the response from Youtube.

The first and very prominent way to make money from Youtube video after Google Adsense is Affiliate marketing. If you are a blogger and know about affiliate marketing and high-paying affiliate programs in blogging, you can understand it the same way on Youtube.
In blogging, we write about the products, its pros, cons, mention the buying affiliate link of that product there in the article. And ask our readers to buy the product from the given link in order to earn commission from the sales made.
The same thing works on Youtube as well. If you have a loyal viewers base on Youtube, you can review the products there and ask your viewers to buy the product from your affiliate link.
