How to Make Your Android Phone Faster

Posted on the 09 April 2016 by Technogala @TechnoGala

Android is now the most used software when it comes to smart phones but with the rising technology one finds it really tough to keep their Android phone faster. No one needs a slow phone but this happens for everyone as the hardware goes outdated, or the storage gets full or when the bugs add up. However there are simple tips by which you can boost your phone’s speed atleast a little more than before. Most phones follow the same method however the processes might be a little different for the older Android versions.

1. Uninstall the apps that you won’t be using any more

Apps for your usage and not to just take up unnecessary space in your phone. Any app that you’re not using regularly is just taking up your phones storage space and making the usage much tougher by slowing down the phones speed. Now to remove it tap and hold on an icon in the app drawer then drag it up to Uninstall option to remove it. This clears the entire app’s files from the internal storage meaning that it wouldn’t run in the background and take up memory Space and processor cycles. So all this free space could be used for some other process.

2. Clear all the cached data

If you are using an app regularly but still you find it slow you can choose to clear out the temporary data instead of uninstalling it. For this you can go to Settings, tap Apps then pick your app of choice. Next tap the Storage heading on the next screen then Clear cache to do the cache cleaning process.

3. Scale back animations, widgets and live wallpapers

For scaling back the animations, widgets and live wallpapers navigate to About phone in Settings and then tap the Build number label seven times to activate a hidden Developer options entry in the menu. Once the Developer option settings is activated for your phone from this screen, you can turn off some of the animations used across the Android OS. You can also cut down on the number of home screen widgets, and use a static wallpaper (instead of a live one), to further reduce the strain on your phone’s system resources.

4. The factory reset

This is the final and most effective way to speed up your slow sluggy phone. By this the phone is completely swiped out and started all over again. You will probably get back your new mobile by this method, atleast in the software front. For this head to Settings then Backup & reset to do this. However the downside in this is that everything on your device disappears, so it is important that you need to make sure you’ve backed up all your most important data.
